Participants are provided a copy of the books, which alternate between fiction and non-fiction titles. On the first Friday of each month, a new book is discussed over dessert and beverages. Pre-registration is required. Please call the Library at 562-989-7323 or stop by to register.

Adulting 101 Workshops

This free program is designed to help each individual learn helpful relationship skills that can be applied to current or future issues. Pre-registration is required, please call 562-989-7323 or stop by the Library. Sponsored by the Cambodian Association of America.

Mango Languages

English Conversation (Mango Languages)

Mondays from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., all ages

Guests will have one on one assistance using Mango Languages, an interactive language learning resource for individuals learning a new language. Learning equipment will be provided for guests with a Signal Hill Public Library card. Registration is required. 


e-Book Help

Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Signal Hill Library Staff will help you download e-books from the library. You will need to bring your own device (e-reader, laptop, or tablet) and know your passwords and usernames. Register by calling 562-989-7323 or visiting the library.

Signal Hill Social Club/BINGO Club

Second Thursday of each month, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Join us at the Signal Hill Public Library for a morning of games, coffee, and conversation. Bring your friends to the Signal Hill Social Club, a club for active adults ages 55 years and older.

Friends of the Signal Hill Library

Who are we?

A group of people who wish to promote, enhance and improve the programs, services and resources of the Signal Hill Library.

What do we do?

Through memberships, donations and ongoing book sales, we:

  • Sponsor speakers and programs of interest to the community,
  • Sponsor the Reading Program and other special programs for children,
  • Provide funds for special materials and equipment to improve service to the public, and
  • Stimulate endowments and bequests.
