Veterans Museum & Old Town San Diego - SOLD OUT

The Veterans Museum at Balboa Park honors those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and Wartime Merchant Marine. Following a guided tour at the museum, you'll head to Old Town San Diego where you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch on your own and explore the many museums and historical sites in the "birthplace of California".
Holiday Waterfront Tour of Lights and Dinner at Mimi's Cafe

This excursion will include dinner and a dessert at Mimi's Cafe. After dinner, guests will board a double-decker bus to enjoy a one-hour tour of lights along one of the most beautiful waterfronts in the world. Highlights will include the famous floating Christmas trees of Alamitos Bay and multi-million dollar homes in full holiday decor.
Reservations: Trips must be paid by check or cash at the time of reservation. Checks should be made payable to City of Signal Hill. To pay, either come in person or mail check to the Community Services Department, 2175 Cherry Avenue, Signal Hill, CA 90755.
Waitlist: Trips that fill up will have a waitlist available. All residents will be called from the waitlist before non-residents. After residents have been contacted we will go down the waitlist in numerical order starting with number one. Do not send a check or pay for the excursion unless you are contacted by Community Services staff and told a spot is available for you.
Parking: Parking for excursions is available in the lot next to the Library, in front of the basketball courts, on the south side of Hill Street, and in the upper parking lot on Legion Drive.
Departure: For all excursions, please arrive at the Signal Hill Library, 1770 E. Hill Street, 30 minutes prior to departure time.
Motorcoach Special Requests: Our excursions’ seating is based on a priority system, residents first, any person with a handicap and then non-residents, and are based on when payment is received. We do our best to accommodate special requests, but they are not guaranteed.
Excursion Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund on any excursion you must contact the Community Services Department at least ten business days prior to the excursion. An administrative fee of $5 will be charged on ALL cancellations. If cancellation is made within ten business days, no refunds or credits are issued.
Illness on Trips: If you are feeling ill please notify the escort immediately. Please do not leave the group without notifying the escort as to where you are going. Also, a travelling kit is an essential, though what you choose to put in it may depend slightly on your own individual needs.
Here are some items that you may want to consider taking on the next trip:
Prescription medications, anti-diarrheal medicine, allergy pills, and pain relievers
Refreshments: cereal bars, crackers, fruit, water or juice drink
Please be advised that City staff cannot dispense any medications.
